It’s Sun Flare Week at I♥Faces. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE sun flare! I have some pretty cool star-shaped flare in a previous post, but, alas, they don’t contain a face, which is a requirement for I♥Faces (can’t imagine why!) This is a photo of a friend I took senior pictures for…I convinced her to wear her prom dress for some pics with her cute little Arabian mare.

This week’s theme for You Capture over at I Should Be Folding Laundry is Sunrise/Sunset. We’ve had a week of snow and yucky weather here, so I had to use pics I had previously taken…so here is a completely random assortment of some of my sunrise/sunset photos from the last couple of months. I know that’s not the point of these challenges, to use photos from your archives, but I’m new to all of this and really wanted to participate – sorry! The first two are sunrise and the rest are sunset :-)
The next two pics were taken at sunset after a big storm…
The next three are Chicago at sunset…
And this final one is “Sunset” because it’s a tree in our backyard and the heart in it only shows up like this at sunset…

It’s “Autumn Beauty” week over at IHeartFaces. I’m looking out my window at several inches of snow at the moment, but I did take some pictures before we had this crazy weather. This one’s from a family photo shoot I did for a friend. The weather was very cloudy and cold all day but finally, at sunset, the sun came out and her daughter was game for taking a few more pics.

In an attempt to do more than a once-a-week post on here, I decided to try the You Capture challenge for the first time this week. The theme this week is Autumn. We do get a little color on the trees, but mostly around here autumn means harvest, which made me think of the pics I took a couple of days ago on the farm. So here is my “Autumn”…beware that there are waaaay too many pictures ahead – I got a little excited!

It’s time for Halloween at IHeartFaces. Here’s my oldest a couple years ago as a fireman…he loved it so much he asked to be it again the following year. (I think that’s because it came with a fake fire extinguisher that actually squirted water!)

It’s “Pink Week” over at www.iheartfaces.blogspot.com in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. While I haven’t been personally affected by this horrible disease, this post is a tribute to all the amazing women (and men) who have. This photo is from a Senior session I did for a friend…I didn’t have any photos directly related to the topic, but this is definitely pink.
